Medicare Supplements / Medigap Plans
You must
have Medicare Part A and Part B coverage to buy a Medigap policy. A Medigap policy only works with the Original
Medicare plan. If you want to get a Medicare prescription drug plan to go along with
your Medigap plan you must join a stand alone Prescription Part D Drug Plan.

Medicare Advantage Plans
You
must have Medicare Part A and Part B coverage to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan. Medicare
Advantage Plans are health plan options that are part of the Medicare program. These Medicare plans are offered by private
insurance companies and pay for the same health care services as Original Medicare. But they might also pay for additional
services that aren’t covered by Original Medicare.
